- What should I wear? - Be Comfortable. Be You. Too matchy matchy in family photos can make an image cheesy, too varied and it looks cluttered. Find a happy medium. Think about where the image will be hung and what those outfits will look like on that wall. Think about the environment you will be in. Studio vs Location. Think about the temperature and what you might be standing against. Hair. If its windy ladies bring something to contain it somewhat. Makeup. Ladies when shooting in studio or with lights wear your makeup darker than you normally would. Style. Try not to wear anything too dated for all of your images. You want timeless memories!
- Boudoir - Embrace your body it's beautiful. It may have bumps and scars but it's you. I work with lines and curves, strategic lighting and angles to enhance what the good lord gave you. Bring multiple outfits and we will figure out which one works best. I'm a girl too. I've seen it all and I'm not scared of some skin. I'm just trying to photograph your soul anyway. If you want to bring wine to relax then by all means you are an adult. I want jaws to hit the floor!
- Babies - Sleepytime is best and can make for the best images! Make sure you feed baby right before the session, helps with that cozy warm feeling. Bring props. I have hats and blankies, but your personal touches are going to be what makes the images truly unique. There are a ton of handmade adorable items on etsy.com.
- Kids and toddlers. Lets face it. Sometimes the kid doesn't want their picture taken. Go with the flow and allow it to be a more natural candid session. A two year old probably wont pose just how you want them to. I'm pretty good with kids, I'm the cool Auntie and treat them just like a friend not a kid.
- Print Release vs Copyright release -A print release allows you to print images through online retailers or local printers. I recommend getting your images professionally printed through me, local printers, or mpix.com. I do not recommed 1 hour photo style labs. A copyright release allows you to print, sell and retain sole ownership of image. This service begins at 45.00 per image.
- Full Privacy Policy
I offer a full privacy policy. Your images will never go online to the public or used in my printed portfolio. My rates reflect being able to use these images. If you want full privacy there is an additional 50.00 charge.
